We had an old clock and finally found someone who really knew clocks and fixed it for us. There are some really good clock fixers out there who take their work seriously. Don,t give up a keepsake just because it doesn,t work anymore. What may seen confusing to you may be a piece of cake to a master time keeper. Also if is an old clock don,t let them tell you it is unfixable and to get rid of it. It may have more value than you think. Get a second opinion if one tells you it can,t be fixed. They may just be looking for a way to scam you out of a very expensive timepiece.
My mum has a german clock and she is trying to find out how old it is and how much it could be worth. Here is a decription;
It is a dome clock. Has a girl with her arms up and her legs dangle and they move. The name is a J in a star with UNGHANS going around the star. on the back is written UHRENHAUS WEIKHAT GRA 7. If anyone has a clue please help. Thanks all have a great day.I think it’s “Weikhard” and it seems the “GRA” is an abbreviation for Graz.
Weikhard seems to be the name of the shop where it came from, and they’re located in Graz, Austria. Junghans is the brand of the clock.
You could get a clock kit & make a diff clock with them. Or you can use them on a wall in a random order. If you have a filing system of some kind you could use them on baskets or drawers – only you would know what it meant lol. You could mount them with very fine thread at the top & bottom of each number to put them on baskets. They could also be glued on to any other surface. You could also mount them on a mirror for a hallway.
